July 04, 2009WSOP Tournament Main Event Results 1Well, day 1A is in the books, and the turnout was modest to say the least. Only 1,116 players showed up, compared to 1,297 on day 1A last year. We will have to see if the numbers increase with the weekend sessions.... When play ended there were about 800 still in the field, among those were Eli Elezra, and Phil Laak. Heavyweights John Phan, Allen Cunningham, Andy Bloch and Men 'the master' Nguyen all were knocked out of play on day one!
