WSOP 2008 Day 24 Updates

Event #36, a $1500 No Limit Texas Holdem event was won by Jesper Hougaard, taking home $610,304 and the bracelet. Cody Slaubaugh took second place worth $389,128.

Event #37, the $10,000 World Championship Omaha High-Low Split 8 or Better event was won by David Benyamine, taking home $535,687 and his first Bracelet. Taking second place was Greg Jamison, worth $331,350.

Event #38, a $2000 Pot Limit Texas Holdem event played down to the final table, and Lee Watkinson is among the chip leaders. Play will begin again today at 2PM to determine the winner. The remaining players are:

Lee Watkinson - 390,000
Ayaz Mahmood - 330,000
Robert Cheung - 315,000
Keith Greer - 280,000
Chris Bell - 265,000
Michael Greco - 125,000
Benjamin Roberts - 120,000

Event #39, a $1500 No Limit Texas Holdem event began play with 2,720 entrants, and they played down to 218 when play halted for the night. Play will resume today to determine the final table.

Event 40, a $2500 Limit 2-7 Triple Draw Low Ball event is the only new event scheduled for today.
