June 15, 2008WSOP 2008 Day 17 UpdatesEvent #23, a $2000 No Limit Texas Holdem event was won by Blair Hinkle, who took home $507,563 and the bracelet. Mark Brockington took second worth $326,552. Hinkles older brother ALSO won a bracelet at this years WSOP, making them the only brothers to do so in the same WSOP! Event #24, a $2500 Pot Limit Texas Holdem/Omaha event was won by Max Pescatori, who took home $246,471 and his second bracelet. Second place went to Kyle Kloeckner. Event #25, a $10,000 World Championship Heads Up No Limit Texas Holdem event is still undecided. There is still a heads up match ongoing as of this writing to determine the final four. Today's matches will be: Event #26, a $1500 Seven Card Razz event is down to the final table! The players and chip counts going into todays final are: Event #27, a $1500 No Limit Texas Holdem Event drew 2706 entrants, and at the end of day one, only 224 remained. Play will resume today to determine the final table. Event #28, a $5000 Pot Limit Omaha with Rebuys started with 152, and played down to 56 heading into todays play.
