Suspended Bodog promotions....

I have temporarily suspended my endorsements of Bodog due to their recent legal issues over their domain, and the patent infringement case they are currently involved in.

I am sure that Bodog will resolve these issues, and once they are settled, I will once again happily endorse their products!

Played a H.O.R.S.E tourney...

I played a HORSE tournament the other day, mainly because I had never done it, and thought it would be interesting.

I really didnt do that poorly... except in the RAZZ section, where I was kinda at a loss on what was a good hand to stay in with... but I more than made up for it in both the Holdem sections, and in the Omaha HI section.

I ended up coming in 7th, which was pretty satisfing for me on my first attempt at HORSE!

Played at Carbon Poker

I was sitting around, and somewhat bored, so I thought I'd go play a Tournament online. I decided to play at CarbonPoker, simply because I had not played there in the past.

I entered a $10 short-handed tournament that had 85 players.

It took me a while to get used to the interface there, as it's a bit different that I was used to. It is a pretty nice layout, just done differently than some of the other rooms.

Play was smoothe, and things were pretty well run. I even managed to come int 5th!

Give CarbonPoker a go if you get the chance!

Played at the club last night...

I decided that it had been WAY too long since I had played any LIVE Texas Holdem poker, so I went to the club last night to play in their weekly game. The turnout was not bad, but there were only 21 players total.

I really didnt get much in the way of cards, but managed to take my initial stack of 3000 up to over 5000 when my big blind hand of 4 7 off hit on a flopped 4 7 2! Guy before me made a big raise, and I went over the top putting him all in. He had pocket 5's, and did not improve, whereas I hit the boat on the turn.

From there, things went downhill. I was moved to another table to balance things, and just NEVER saw any cards. I final got AKo, under the gun, and moved my remaining 3K in. I got called by pocket 5's ( again ) but never improved. Crippled, I had to push from my bb with my remaining 600, and ran into K's.

Can't complain about how I played... but cards sure help!
